Common problems and solutions of laser marking machine

Fault 1: Laser intensity decreases, marking is not clear enough

Solution:

  ① Has the laser resonant cavity changed; Fine tune the resonant cavity lens. Make the output light spot the best;  

  ② Offset of acousto-optic crystal or low output energy of acousto-optic power supply; Adjust the position of the acousto-optic crystal or increase the working current of the acousto-optic power supply;  

  ③ The laser entering the galvanometer deviates from the center: adjust the laser;  

  ④ If the current is adjusted to around 20A but the sensitivity is still insufficient: the krypton lamp is aging and needs to be replaced with a new lamp.

Fault 2: Krypton lamp cannot be triggered

Solution:

① Check all power connection wires;  

② The high-pressure krypton lamp is aging, replace the krypton lamp.

Precautions for operating laser marking machine

  ① It is strictly prohibited to start the laser power supply and Q-switching power supply without water or with abnormal water circulation;  

  ② Q power supply is not allowed to operate without load (i.e. the output terminal of the Q power supply is suspended);  

  ③ If any abnormal phenomenon occurs, first turn off the mirror switch and key switch, and then check again;  

  ④ It is not allowed to start other components before igniting the krypton lamp to prevent high pressure from entering and damaging the components;  

  ⑤ Pay attention to suspending the output terminal (anode) of the laser power supply to prevent ignition and breakdown with other electrical appliances;  

  ⑥ Keep the internal circulating water clean. Regularly clean the water tank and replace it with deionized water or pure water.  

The use and replacement of krypton lamps

  ① Turn off the water cooler and laser power supply.

  ② Open the upper three chamber covers, remove the lamp or crystal that needs to be replaced, replace it, put it in, and install the chamber covers.

  ③ Boiling water cooler, laser power supply, adjust the laser power supply current to around (15-20) A. Place a small piece of wood or black paper between the front film and the beam expander, and observe the formation of laser ablation

The light spot. If not, adjust the three knobs of the front film holder slightly until the light spot appears.

  ④ After the laser is debugged, the three knobs of the front film holder should be repeatedly adjusted to make the light spot the strongest. If the laser is too strong or the brightness is too high to observe, the power supply current can be reduced. Turn off the laser

Special attention: Time to replace the krypton lamp..

The factory instructions for the krypton lamp in the laser state that the service life of the krypton lamp is 300 hours, but due to different user conditions, the above time cannot be the only basis for replacing the krypton lamp. As the usage time increases, the luminous efficiency of the krypton lamp decreases, and the laser output also weakens. Many users increase the current of the laser power supply in order to obtain sufficient laser output, which enhances the luminescence of the krypton lamp. This accelerates the aging of the krypton lamp, forming a vicious cycle and sometimes leading to the phenomenon of lamp explosion. To prevent this phenomenon from happening, we recommend that users decide whether to replace the krypton lamp according to the following method.

When replacing a new krypton lamp, record the current meter value of the laser power supply during normal marking as the standard current value.   As the krypton lamp gradually ages, increase the laser power supply current output, but the ammeter value should not exceed 1.25 times the standard current value.

For example, when marking a new krypton lamp, the current value is 20A. After using it for a period of time, if the current value is increased to 22.5A but still cannot mark normally, the krypton lamp should be replaced.
